What will help our QB immensely is the OL opening holes for the RBs and WRs who can consistently get open--neither of which happened yesterday. If Anthony Colandrea has to run in games going forward like he did vs Sparty, he will most likely not make it through the season. And as we all saw yesterday in the USC-Oregon game, all it takes is one hit.
As an aside: To me, the most disturbing thing about that hit the USC player put on Moore was the fact that he was smiling and laughing about Moore getting hurt.
Nebraska desperately needs Barney, Hunter, Gilmer, and which ever other WRs are in the game to step up. When we run the ball and lose yards, have no gain, or only get 1-2 yards, we need WRs that can get open and bail us out. Also, I realize that in a given game there are a finite amount of offensive snaps, but TE Luke Lindenmeyer (and all the other TEs) is/are being drastically under-utilized in the passing game.
