Okay so I want to have a thread where we discuss all things Disney+ (MCU, Star Wars, Pixar, etc.) And the MCU? That's the Marvel Cinematic Universe for those you who live under a rock or are too cool hipsters like Martin Scorsesse to watch such lowball entertainment. Discussion can be about any aspect of any show on Disney+. Feel free to talk about upcoming movies, tv shows, cast interviews, directors/producers comments, fan theories, thoughts, opinions, reviews, etc.
One thing I do request though, is when a Disney movie or television show hits, please refrain from posting any spoilers. Until after at least a month. Give people time to see the film or show in question before you post any plot or character critical spoilers. Thank you.
I want to start it off by describing my entry into the MCU.
It was 2013 and I was over at a friend's house for Thanksgiving. After dinner, someone asked if anyone wanted to see The Avengers. Now to that point I had never seen an MCU movie. I never saw Iron Man or any of the other movies that had been released to that point. But, I was feeling good, didn't have anywhere to go, so I was like, sure pop it in.
I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny, serious, had a terrific cast, and was exceptionally well done. Fast forward several years and I am in a hotel (traveling for work) and The Winter Soldier just so happens to be starting on television. I figure, what the hell, not probably going to be anything else on, so I watch it. Got damn, I was a damn fool for not getting into the MCU earlier because it was amazing. I have been an MCU fan since. I love DC, I think DC has the real OG characters, but Marvel makes way better movies. And, if I'm being honest, Chris Evans is the actor that got me hooked because: a) I think he is the perfect choice for Steve Rogers/Captain America, and b) he is a gorgeous, gorgeous man. He is literally the only guy I'd go hetero for. Anyhoo, lol I took 5he time to watch almost all the MCU movies, and I had to watch Avengers: Infinity War on Blu-Ray because I missed it while it was in theaters. And honest to gawd, I was taken aback at the way it ended. And so I vowed to see Avengers: Endgame when it was in the theater. And I am not kidding, I was full on struggling to hold back tears at the end of Endgame.
So please, post your responses to anything Disney+ related.
