Keyshawn Green leaving

He just committed to.......drum roll please.....FLORIDA ATLANTIC.

Well, there is a Husker connection there. Carl Pelini was the HC there until he got canned for allegedly using weed and coke.

I saw that tweet earlier this morning. Does it seem odd that there was no mention of thanking the Huskers or University of Nebraska? I guess I chalked this one up to not being able to play and being so far away from home. However, without the usual PR statement, was there something that happened?

Who knows? Probably nothing there to read between the lines.

Not quite sure I understand what you mean, Doc.

I think he's either saying that he's a Prima Donna, and expected to start; or that he is a Prima Donna and wasn't making inroads to starting; or that he is a Prima Donna and figured he didn't have put in the work.

Regardless of which conspiracy theory that I posed, since most transfers have been able to go to a Power 5 Conference and get a waiver to play immediately, the fact he is settling for FAU is probably saying he got too big for his britches at Nebraska, and his feelings are hurt...along with missing family of course.

Willie Taggert and his coaching staff could have a lot to do with it as well. Greene was committed to Taggert, err FSU for a year.

Former Nebraska, four-star linebacker Keyshawn Greene transferring to FAU

Not to mention he could potentially play this year.

I think Doc is saying that FAU is close to home.

Wow...go back and read that statement again. It angers me that our education system is so flawed that someone who has graduated from high school and gained admission to two good universities would write a paragraph like that.

I do wish him well. It's frustrating that the B1G also failed him by denying him an opportunity to play football as he learned English composition.

It is pitiful what passes for education these days. I have a friend who is a high school teacher in California. He is under tremendous pressure to pass these athletes whether they deserve it or not. He gave one football player an F a few years ago but the principal changed the grade to passing. Many teachers pass these kids whether they have command of the subject or not. Anything to get the kid out of their class and make it another teacher's problem the next year.
