Isaiah Neyer enters the portal

Weird to leave and spend that extra year trying to learn a new staff and system and developing chemistry with a new QB. That seems short-sighted. Some of these kids seem to be making pretty dumb decisions by leaping into a portal without thinking it through.
Maybe we didn’t have a place for him anymore. Our receivers didn’t impress me much this year.

Big disappointment to me too.

We've had a couple great WRs transfer to Nebraska (Touri & Palmer) in recent years sooooo....with the size, speed, and buzz surrounding Neyor and Banks, I thought we'd added a couple reliable big play threats for the season.

Turns out, we didn't.

Did Neyor get a reality check from the NFL? Once he left the team we didn't have to take him back and would only be a distraction for this bowl game. "Nah, we're good" should have been Nebraska's response.

Okay Dr.
But for years you believed it every time the local media told you Scott Frost was doing everything possible to turn around our program and just needed more time. It was only after the wheels fell off that they admitted there were tremendous problems.
I take all of it with a grain of salt.
This young fellow is sort of " The Drudge Report" of Husker football. I look for outside corroboration, but don't dismiss it out of hand.
Of course, you can do as you like. It's all good.

Hey, I wasn't dissing you, PD. I like your stuff. And for the record, I liked that kid at first too but he pulled the bullsh*t clickbait card on me one too many times. There's nothing social media-wise that I hate more. So I ignore him out of protest.

Again, for the record, I noted Year One that the Huskers didn't look like a well-coached team. But bit my lip and hung in there----until the Raiola recruiting incident.

I think the whole podcast thing is problematic. You NEED clicks to survive. My issue with him relates more to his maturity, especially early on. But I give youngsters the benefit of the doubt, more so if they improve.
I would love to be involved in a BHF podcast- a 3 person panel with a rotating 4th as a guest. Unfortunately, I would be dropped after week two for being, well, myself. Probably would garner a dozen or two "clicks" at best. A real losing proposition. But you and Hunchie would be interesting.

I listened for a bit; kid needs to quit saying the same things over and over. Gave up after a while.
