Just curious if there are any odds in Vegas, etc on whether or not SF will remain our HC after our season concludes. Not counting the OWH article, I've seen probably a half dozen articles putting Frost squarely in the hot seat. I'm not necessarily convinced that is the case.

Anyway what says the board? It's a bye week so I thought I'd start yet another is Frost staying or going type thread.;horse

I know it's a bye week. Please read the thread. I was talking about Frost's tenure here. Maybe you're thinking that's tied to our next performance. Dunno.
i READ it,,see the smiley? Frost is dancing on ice now, I doubt that he can win enough games to keep his job. Oregano lost his job at LSU after winning the SEC and NCG and we flounder with the crap we have seen for the last 4 years...go figure.

Highly unlikely that Frost is our coach next year. Trev is like most former huskers so I would imagine he probably also doesn't like Scott on a personal level.

That was a smiley? Just looked like a close parenthesis to me. That's why I always use the real emoticons. No surprises that way.

I would think that Frosty is on his way out, except for the Trev thing and Doc Holiday's comments about when he talked to Trev a month or more back. He said something along the lines that Frosty was here as long as he wanted to be or as long as Frosty felt like he was still contributing or words along that line. Perhaps the debacle in Minnesota has changed Trev's perspective - dunno!

Regardless of what Trev said to Doc H, an AD is in no way obligated to do something just because he tells it to a personal acquaintance on a telephone call.

Semantically, the whole “as long as he wants to” line is also a gray area. Perhaps Trev would demand that SF overhauls his assistants, and by not doing so SF would be telling Trev that he “no longer wants to be here”.

His goose is cooked. To many mistakes being made by the staff. I would let him go now and put Chins in Charge, save a bundle of dough in new hire and he knows the system now. To be sure I do not like the spread never have and would like to see a change there, maybe the guy at Army would be a good look'

Trev saying that wins and losses are not what he looks at or however he said it gives Frost another year.

I don't think Frost will be fired before next season. But I do think it's possible that he will resign after the season plays out. He won't need the money and can take a couple of seasons off to test the waters, not as a head coach, but as an NFL assistant.

Frost might have some kind of future as an assistant. As a head coach he is an abomination

Sadly, I think it's more likely than not Frost is back next season. Along with what feels like Year 7 of Martinez.

The combo meal will be back next year. And they will lose 8 games. And Alberts will be forced to pay Frost's absurd buyout and find a real coach.

The buyout is the only thing keeping us from making a change, but eventually the point of diminishing returns comes into play.

Plus, when negotiating, it doesn't hurt to have a little bit of dirt in your back pocket. Like a tape recording, or maybe a reporter that has been told to keep their mouth shut about some stuff.

When Frost was introduced to everyone I was so convinced the dark ages were over. Instead we got some egomatinic who was a one trick pony. Bummer.

Well several of his players are at the Ameristar right now... so there's that.
