I am not going to get to bent our of shape if a team that hasn't played a game in a month, looks like a team that hasn't played a game in a month.
Unfortunately, it's the "Nebraska Athletics Sh!tshow Part 2" with basketball. Football and basketball both look like a cluster of athletes who lack coaching. Hopefully, something changes for both programs next year....Huskers fall to Wisconsin 61-48. Got off to decent start but only scored 13 points in middle 20 minutes of the game per report I heard. I cannot find a positive out of this game.
1 FG in a ten minute span of the first half doesn't help. There was a sequence where Teddy Allen drove to the basket 4 straight possessions with absolutely no idea of what he wanted to do other than try to get a foul. He was so out of control each time. Too many games off, too many good Big 10 Teams and players and coaches right now for his team to over come.Huskers fall to Wisconsin 61-48. The last play of the first half is typical of what I've seen from this team under Hoiberg. Tied going into the half with 38 seconds to go. Nebraska gets the defensive rebound, brings the ball up the court. Rather than use a timeout, Banton stands at the top of key letting time go down. With about 6 seconds on the shot clock he passes the ball to Mayan who immediately gets pressure and losses the ball as he's trying to dribble. Wisconsin takes the ball and hits a 3. Game over.Aside from the excuse of being left with little talent and whatever recruiting we've done, isolated to just the coaches and the guys they've brought in, does anyone thing there is good coaching being displayed? The excuse that Tim Miles wouldn't have done any better doesn't sit well.
How about a little pool play Big 10 vs. Big 12 style?[/QUOTE][QUOTE
Note: the longest pure losing streaks in P5 have four teams in a heated battle. Ironically all of them are familiar to Nebraska fans.
1. Kansas St. 11
2. Northwestern 10
3/4. Nebraska and Iowa st. tied 9 ea.
