Honas is gone

I was kind of a Honas fan. Too many things, like injuries, just conspired against him.

Yes, surprising given he's been with the program for so long (no according to plan) and leaving relatively late to start with a new team. It seemed to be a good relationship, not something similar to AM2 who was a polarizing figure and could use a fresh start.

Forget the funny talk about a 7th year Junior- we're gonna miss him. IMHO he was an important part of what was coming back. Another hole to fill in the defense. Best'o'Luck to him.

mmmmm - wonder if we'll see an xfer portal add at ILB in the immediate future. I like Honas - hope he does well wherever he ends up.

I know he hasn't played lately, but he showed he was going to be able to produce when healthy. I had him penciled in as a Blackshirt.

The 7th year Juniors I knew were typically only in frats... did you see that comment
on the twitter link above? Trying to stick around for his pension LOL. That's funny.

Seriously though, nothing but the best to Honas. Good guy and a good Husker. Damn injuries.

I really liked Will, but something about this move bothers me. Maybe it’s because we went through all the effort to get him the medical hardship approval, and just as it comes through, he jumps ship. There is no loyalty anymore I guess.

Surprising indeed. I was looking forward to his 10 year anniversary with the Huskers. :)

Considering most "marriages" don't last that long anymore, I was thinking all he wanted from the split was the dog and his shotgun, not actually leave.

If I'm not mistaken the week after his injury, they were talking about it being a career ending injury.
