Greatest of all time

Dave Rimmington at Center was truly in a league of his own. It's fitting that the best center in the country wins an award with Dave's name on it because there hasn't been anyone like him before or since.

The thing I remember about watching Rimmington play is that Dave was so damn fast snapping the ball and firing out that if often looked like he was offsides.
Tell me--did we EVER run a QB sneak ( with DR at center) that did not result in a 1st down or a TD?

Guy was the GOAT --until Jurgens makes us forget bout him :)

GBR

Rich Glover was as dominant of a college DL as I have seen.
The Boz at LB for college
Huey Luey and Dewey Selmon (can't remember which one was so good at OU)

I believe Urlacher played safety in college.

The best running back I have seen was LP ... hands down (granted I dont go back much further than that)

SUH has also go to be on the list havent seen many dominate a game from the DT position the way he did.
Urlacher played a hybrid position at UNM. The Lobo back lined up all over the field. Heck HC Rocky Long had him returning punts and kickoffs also. He was simply the best athlete on the field.

Amen on Rich Glover. That guy was a one-man wrecking crew who doesn't get nearly enough credit. One of the all-time greats.

The names Selmon and Sims still make me involuntarily shake my head. They ruined some perfectly good seasons for us in the 70s.

I was in Tampa the other day and there is actually a Selmon Expressway there. Yikes!

Can I just keep looking at the retired NU names on the wall under North stadium in Memorial, and visit the trophy buildings around campus to make my list?....the national memory thing can be a strain, so I'll limit my list to what my heart and head says.....Nebraska players for evaaaaaaaa
