There are some other ADs who would love to play Nebraska every year too. Iowa State, KU, Mizzou, and K-State would love to join Colorado in a Big Eight redo with Nebraska.

But those days are gone and it’s CU’s administration as much as anybody who’s responsible for the old gang breaking up.

Sorry Colorado. Gone are the days of the old Big 8. Honestly, part of me would love there to be an old Big 8 tour and play one of those teams every year. Nostalgia I guess. But that isn't going to happen anytime soon. Instead we are officially a Big 10 team - we play 5 MAC teams in the next 3 years.

It was mentioned in another thread here that the organizers of Nebraska's Arrowhead game against Cincinnati plan to make "The KC Classic" an annual Week 0 game.

To me, it's The Perfect venue at The Perfect Time of the season for an annual "Big 8 nostalgia game" featuring the Big XII's Kansas, Iowa State, or K-State versus either the SEC's Mizzou and the B1G's Nebraska.
