Blue uniforms for 1 game?

We live in an age where the sports apparel companies are always looking for new ways to sell stuff. Plus you've got programs like Oregon who have made wild uni changes their brand. That's all well and good.

But College Football is what it is because of the iconic brands of its Big Dawgs. And those brands start with the uniforms. When you've got classics like Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, USC, and UCLA, why EVER change it -- even for one lousy game?

A little OT, but it's funny how often 'getting the uni right' works. Obviously, it takes some damn good coaching to get good anywhere. But once 'a new identity' is established by a head coach, it seems to make it easier.

Look at Hayden Fry at Iowa. Iowa was the saddest of sadsack programs with gawd awful unis over the years until Hayden gave them a cool helmet design and a Pittsburgh Steelers look. Same kind of deal down at K-State.

Nebraska doesn't need to mess with its iconic uniform. Rhule is trying to bring back a tough, new attitude to the guys wearing 'em.

My idea of Hell?

Having my Huskers -- clad in Blue jerseys -- doing the Tunnel Walk to the heart-throbbing sounds of LeAnn Rimes' Blue or Linda Ronstad's Blue Bayou.

Linda Ronstadt can sing anytime, anywhere. Truly the most beautiful and talented entertainer of all time. She can sing anything, any type of vocal and blow away anyone else.

Agree, one of my favorite female singers along with Stevie Nicks. Sad that she hasn't performed for quite a while because of her brain disorder.
