Biggs is a no show for the game tonight. Who's got the inside scoop? I'm guessing he got a royal (deserved) butt chewing after PSU and didn't like the heat.

What? I hadn't heard a thing. Too bad, but if Coach Miles ever has the luxury of laying down the law, it's now.

Saying personal reasons. I smell fishy reasons. Miles to comment after game. Unless we have an insider...

Figuring this team out is harder than the first time someone handed me a Rubik's cube. If we ever get our last five minutes of a game figured out, we'll be a team to beat.

I'll take the win.

Deverell is not a good teammate. That's why he's been out, that's why he was out today. We will see if he gets yet another chance.

Behrens needs to be less concerned about assembling a bunch of city all-stars and more on reining his kids in from the start.

I know that Coach Miles is at his whits end with Deverell. Not sure if he has blown his last chance of if he has another one coming. Pattern says one chance left or not, he won't be around much longer.

If I am the coach, I am not letting him continue the way he has. They proved tonight they can beat a decent, well coached team without him and his erratic play.

I'm pretty certain the Biggs is done.

A lot of people are going to have to step up to match his point contributions. That's too bad, with a little more focus and discipline, he could be a really good player.

He was already looking at transferring at the end of the semester. Reportedly to a D1A program but have heard Memphis has somehow contacted him...........

Best thing for NU.

Memphis and Clemson are strong possibilities. He's a good kid, I wish him the best. All you can do is learn from this experience and move one. I hope he does and I wish him nothing but the best.

You guys that don't like me bagging on ADSE , or HP or the AD in general aren't going to like this either. Was able to get the whole story here and I don't like it.

Biggs was in Omaha Saturday night with his pregnant girlfriend, at a hospital because she was having problems. He finally went home in the middle of the night to get some sleep. He overslept and missed the film session. Coach Miles was upset but told Deverell he understood but that he needed to communicate somehow as to what was going on.

Miles' plan was to allow Deverell back with some stipulations. According to what I am told, the AD stepped in and dismissed Deverell from the team!

Combine this and the railroad of Avery Moss, a situation that makes no sense, gives me even more bad feelings towards ADSE. Pregnant girlfriend in the hospital, overslept, coach understands the situation as a father, player takes full responsibility, coach makes a decision and AD then decides he needs to step in and dismiss the kid regardless of the circumstances.

Big changes needed in our AD!

If the facts given to you are accurate, it does sound like ADSE has screwed up a few times. I would respectfully suggest that we give ADSE the same leniency as our coaching staff when it comes to screwing up.....

Eichorst may have made the decision. He was on the list of student-athletes that needed to straighten out fast. Miles obviously doesn't feel good about it as he tried to help him the best he could. Miles is going to help him get placed and give him the tools needed to graduate.

Biggs did have a valid excuse....this time. There were other times. Several other times, in fact. Not to mention a DUI and as of January 5th, caught driving under suspension. That's just what people know on the surface. I'm not going to air dirty laundry, but if you think those are the only issues he had here you are kidding yourself.

Not to mention, does anyone not think there was some resentment by other team members of having a player on their team suspended on multiple occasions to the detriment of them? You're also kidding yourself if you don't believe that.

I hate to see it happen. It was better for both parties. Biggs needs a new place and a new situation.

Agreed. Evnthough he had a valid excuse, it was just another issue in a bundle of probs Biggs had. I may not agree with ADSE just over riding the coach like that, but as you alluded to, when does it stop with Biggs? He has been given many chances and keeps screwing up. It's not fair to the team.

I would think this is fair request, but at the same time maybe we should also ask for the same transparency that we ask from our coaches.. We ask that our coaches face the media and public, so it might be in everyone's interest to ask the same of some others who are making decisions for our programs. We can't, and shouldn't, know everything but some public explanations would go a long ways in settling the uncertainty that seems to be haunting our programs of late.
