2026 Season Previews, Predictions & Watch Lists

We're not forgotten, we just haven't kept up our end of the bargain. The fact that so many schools still regard a W over Nebraska as a season defining positive, even though we haven't been good in almost two decades, just shows how pathetically far we've fallen.

Is this the prediction thread?
Okay. AC sets new Nebraska passing records, in completions, yards, and TDs.
That is, if he can remain healthy.:GB_bonesrock:

LOL. We'll see.

For the record, this is the same pair that have publicly opined on their site that Nebraska's natty days are forever behind them.

But personally, I love this kind of social media 'publicity.' We've all opined that we want to see a Husker team with a 'chip on their shoulder.' Crap like this should help us out. :)

Ok Dog I bite on this one. They list 37 players at OL and 13 more at OT. And they did not list Justin Evens as one of those players. The guy was named second team preseason All American. (Is he not draft eligible?)

Come on Man!

I asked my handy-dandy ChatGPT to explain the omission of Justin Evans from the Senior Bowl's Top 300 list. Here is the response I got:

It is highly unusual. The more closely you compare Evans’s résumé with the purpose of the Top 300, the harder his omission is to explain as an ordinary judgment call.

Justin Evans has:

  • Second-team preseason All-America recognition from The Athletic
  • A place on the Rimington Trophy watch list
  • 31 career starts, including every game at center last season
  • A 78.6 PFF grade in 2025—seventh among all college centers and the highest among returning Power Four centers
  • No sacks allowed last season
  • A No. 63 ranking on PFF’s early 2027 NFL Draft board
  • A No. 4 center ranking from both ESPN draft analysts cited in ESPN’s position-by-position survey
That is not the résumé of a marginal candidate who narrowly missed a 300-player list. PFF considers him roughly a second-round prospect, and even a considerably less favorable scouting source I found ranks him No. 126 overall—still comfortably within 300.

The timing makes the omission stranger. The Senior Bowl says its staff has evaluated players since February. Evans’s All-America selection was announced only one day after the Top 300, but his 2025 film, PFF grade and draft standing had been available for months. PFF had ranked him No. 63 overall back in April.

My honest interpretation: this looks more like an oversight, database/name problem, or unusually sharp disagreement by the Senior Bowl staff than a defensible consensus evaluation. His name creates at least some possibility of a clerical problem.
