I still do NOT understand why Matt Rhule and Nebraska are not recruiting this kid.
Did we even TRY to recruit him?
Seems to me that there are a lot of D1 players in this state that are leaving for other programs and I, for one, would kinda like to know why.

While I agree that is always stinks to see Nebraska kids go elsewhere, in the instance they already had their 2026 QB recruit in Dayton Raiola. The QB room is pretty full. Hated seeing Danny Kaelin transfer, too, but the coaching staff is doing an amazing job of signing top tier high school QBs. They just have room for one per year (not including the Purdue transfer Davila).
Dayton may want to reopen his recruitment. It looks like he'll be waaaayyy down the roster depth chart.
Grandad is leaving. We can only hope both Dylan and TJ stay. And if they do, would be surprised if Davila stays with Dayton joining.
It should probably be noted that he received that 5th star BECAUSE he signed with Bama.

Nebraska should keep a weather eye on the horizon. If the winds and tides shift, we might be able to sign Thomalla from the Portal in a few years.
Need to keep an eye on that tight end in Oregon too. He may want to come back and play QB for the Huskers in a few years.
One can only hope Nebraska is able to recruit from the Portal such an amazing, elite, 5* TE prospect from Oregon.
