2023 Volleyball Thread

Just looks like a replay of their match with Wisconsin. Two of the top teams in the country can't handle this Texas serve, probably just have to tip the hat and get ready for next year 
Still a successful season. Was hoping they could take notes from Wisconsin's loss in the semis but I suppose it's kind of like trying to hit a pitcher who can throw triple digits on a fastball, then uncork a changeup in the 60s.
I knew I did NOT want them meeting Texas for all the marbles. Still it was a great season and they'll be back next year. I am sure of that.

Nebraska was 2-0 versus Texas in title games, and Wisconsin has mostly had their number including a sweep late this year. But Texas just found something at the right time in their service game, and dominated two of the other best teams in the country back-to-back. Too bad :/
Yeah, I get all that. I just had a really bad feeling about their meeting for the Championship. I don't know why I felt like it was going to go south. Wish I had been wrong.
I had a bad feeling too going into this game but I never would've thought the Ladies wouldn't score more than 14 pts in the last 2 sets in the title game. That was an epic beat down.

Yup, it sucked rotten eggs, to be sure. I really hate losing to them in particular.
Didn't hear any trash talk when we left. I was surprised. Maybe because they were outnumbered 4-1.
No matter who was on the court tonight, Texas was going to be tough to beat....But IMO our young gals weren't quite ready for a stage this big. Watching the game with my friend the volleyball coach, she said the Huskers weren't moving well at all compared to normal, both on serve receive and for floor defense, and I agree. IMO they showed their youth and cracked a bit under the pressure, became tentative, and they couldn't execute the part of the game they are particularly strong in. But, it's still a helluva season for the gals. They are BIG10 Champs and National runner up, and that's nothing to sneeze at! They will learn and grow from this...Goodness never thought I would see this team geamtting owned like this.
It was still an awesome season. Just stinks this happened and I agree their youth caught up to them. They got progressively worse as the match went on. Really stinks but they will be back next year and if the are able to make it back to the title game I have a feeling they won't let what happened tonight happen again.
