Beat Indiana and we'll be ranked--most likely. Of course then, in true Nebraska fashion we'll probably lose vs Oregon the next week and drop out of the rankings.

;zombie
Entirely possible. I'm jazzed by the fact that we got as many votes as we did for the T25. Tells me that people are watching and paying attention to what HCMRh and staff are doing in Lincoln.

GO BIG RED!!!

Kentucky is ranked and we aren't? They had to go to overtime to beat South Carolina who is now 2-3. Keep underestimating us.

No, I do the Control C thing and then go to paste it and get nothing. Just a blank line.
You need to hold yer Notebook in the landscape position.

I'll tell you what it takes. It takes a clear mind.

It takes a clear mind to take it or a clear mind not to take it?

It takes a clear mind to make it.

That was what I thought Johnny, Tried and tried and tried, all to no avail. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thankfully, the polls don't mean diddily-squat anymore. If we take care of business, it doesn't matter what the AP thinks of us. It means even less now than it did back in 1997.
Yeah, polls really don't mean diddly. I just like that we're starting to get recognition -- as we're back, baby!!! (still a work in progress though)

Just keeping it real Again. We have been conditioned for so long on the mediocrity of our program that here we are grousing about votes outside the top 25. Just focus on the next play, the next game, the next day of practice, and those votes will appear. GBR

I agree with the polls are meaningless philosophy and that win/loss is far more important. Win out and you have to be acknowledged kind of deal.

Not being in the Top 25 doesn't bother me and, actually, I kind of like it if the team focuses on their on-field performance as opposed to their placement in the various polls used to "reflect on field performance." I just like seeing our number of votes cast for NU increasing as that tells me that the various pundits are waking up and paying attention to what NU is starting to accomplish on the field. To me it is just another sign that HCMRh and his staff are taking the necessary steps to restore this program and, more importantly, that the players are responding positively. Just another sign of what is yet to come.

Getting ranked is not an achievement. The goal is to be the best football team we can be. That means focusing on the task in front of us and improving every day. At the end of the season we'll know how we compare to other teams. It's destiny manifest
