Great player. Would have been nice to see him return, but at the same time, Nebraska NEEDS, very badly, be putting players into the NFL. IT IS A MUST.

Let's groom him to take over as the next head coach after Matt Rhule....you never know how long Matt will be head coach.

Ever since the firing of Solich, Nebraska kept making the wrong hires after wrong hires from the athletic director to head coach to assistant coaches. For the first time since the day Solich was fired, I think Nebraska finally has made the right hires. Hiring Trev Alberts is what has allowed...

He was pissed the staff lied to him about focusing on an option offense (spread) and instead hired this Baby Poop show of an offfense that is hand the ball up the gut and throw deep a dozen times.

Who do you think should be the next coach at Nebraska?

I hope everyone had a good off-season. I didn't show up to do any pre-season chatter since it wasn't worth it. Lose to Northwestern and it is over so I didn't put any thought into anything. Now, we might as well start debating who could be the next head coach when he gets fired after the...

Tony wasn't anywhere close to being one of the better DL coaches in the Big Ten. Not even near the top of the Big Ten West. His recruiting was awful. The 3 projected starting DL for 2022 were all recruited by Dawson and Tony was here for 3 seasons to recruit and not a single person he landed...

Best news of the off-season so far. Tony couldn't recruit worth Baby Poop for his DL targets. Now we can improve DL recruiting acumen and start recruiting Big Ten level guys VIA the actual DL coach. He is a decent coach, but you can't outcoach good recruiting. His DL never once shutdown Iowa...

If we get Quinn, Whipple to go with the others on staff, then I will have some hope again. That Graham Harrell news really pissed me off last night.

I hope Trev Albert's says hell no to Graham Harrell since he does need to approve the hires as they move up the food chain. Go to Virginia and get that OC since he is unemployed soon.

The good news is that this nightmare should be over less than a year from now. Just enjoy the rest the college games and NFL until Feb., then turn to basketball, spring ball nationally, signing classes to study who the future is of college football on a national scale. and then the summer will...

He was given one last lifeline to make this work and then returns with an air-raided offensive coordinator as his top choice. The guy is a full-blown idiot is what that shows.

He doesn't get it. Nebraska football, when it has won at a high level, has always been a running based team. Scott Frost never developed a solid running game that feeds through the RB and OL after 4 seasons and now he is on the verge of hiring a pass happy offensive coordinator. During...

If Frost hires Graham Harrell I give up on Huskers football until afer next season when Frost gets fired. If that ends up being the guy hired as the OC, then Frost shows how dumb he is. Getting the Army guy would be smart since he can fix the running game. USC guy = failed hire resulting in...

Are we still expecting Co-OC for the OC hires?

I think Doc's info was right, just maybe a tad dated. We will never know what transpired today to get this to a contract stage. Hell, he could have met the new LSU head coach and hated the guy.

If my goal was to rise through the ranks and get experience along the way like a conference title, I'd tell the future employer to shut their trap until the game is done too so there are no distractions for the players. Most coaches never win a conference title in college.

They will spread it out in shotgun, IMO, similar to what Coastal Carolina does, but tweak what Frost does to fix the running game so the offense is successful in the redzone to score TDs.

He probably didn't want to coach in the schemes you outlined yesterday. Don't blame him for that. The OL hire is going to be the most important hire out of these new hires and it isn't close.

Jurgens goes to the NFL. When Sipple gets like this he already knows the answer. AM will be gone and I consider that a healthy thing for both parties. We have to move on. Daniels? That is very risky for him. He can make good plays every now and then, but to get drafted? Wouldn't put money on...
