    Possible new qb ?

Milton's rushing stats from last year: 2 McKenzie Milton SO QB 13 106 613 5.78 8 8.15 47.15 Notice 613 yds for the season, 5.78 yds per attempt (and that is after subtracting any negative losses on sacks) 106 attempts. So yeah, this does require a running QB. You'll find that every QB that...

    Possible new qb ?

Neither Gebbia or POB are home run threats in any IZ, OZ, triple option play that is in the playbook. Yeah they might get 2 yds but that doesn't make the DC honest in this playbook, and that is why they won't be the starting QB.

    Bigredreport/husker central posters

I am the obnoxious one. I'll try to keep myself in check, but it is certainly less fun:evilgrin0007:. Seriously I come over here to talk to my old friends. I am still a member on 24/7 and will remain so, but I need to speak to the people I have known for over 12 years.

    Possible new qb ?

It is going to depend on what happens in the spring practices. If the staff is convinced they have what they need then they won't be in on the grad transfers at QB. If however, we don't have the QB in the room yet who can operate this offense as they want, then they will be going for one. I...

What to expect when we run the ball

Where to start; Frost's offense succeeds because they always find the mismatch. They want someone at running back who can play multiple positions, in part because in any down, anywhere on the field, any skill player could be moved to any position. The TE/H-back could line up as the RB and the...

So ok you all......it's time.....the new era is about to...

Frost and the staff talked this week about how they are going faster with introducing the offense this year than what they did at UCF. In part this is because they themselves are more comfortable with the offense than they were in the first year at UCF. They have figured out what they want...

Run The Power explains Frost's practice methods

Some really good material in here about Frost's practice methods, and how they differ from other coaches. Very insightful, and also very cool how artfully the staff has evaluated methods of coaching and how to improve them.

    Frost's Comment about Pelini

In the end the real victims of the last 15 years were the player and fans. There is in the end as well only one party who can be seen as a constant in his involvement; Harvey Perlman. Is it shocking or intriguing that now that he is absent, we have for the first time since 1999 a President...

So ok you all......it's time.....the new era is about to...

Frost's offense doesn't consist "just" of Oregon's offense however; Frost also borrows from Malzahn, and Meyers, he even incorporates some variations on the triple option (still not using the FB however). Frost is very different from many of his prior coaching associates in several ways...

So ok you all......it's time.....the new era is about to...

Frost's offense doesn't have a fullback at all. They do use an H-Back which is in essence a TE who moves around a lot. Sometimes this is or can be referred to as a flex-back. I'm going to give you a link to some very good videos that explain how the Oregon offense operates. These are from a...

The Impact of UCF's Winning Streak on Riley

Doc and I are old friends and antagonists;), I am one of those horrible people who knew from day 1 that Mike Riley was a horrible hire and that Nebraska was in for a debilitating future as long as he coached here. There is nothing in his resume that spoke to his capacity to run a program like...
