To the original question - what did I think of the HC hires “then?” Solich - we had no say in the matter, as Tom told us Frank was the man. But I was worried since his last HC positions had been for a high school team and the NU freshman team. And he’d never been a coordinator. Callahan -...

While getting a 4* DE is great, was really hoping for more than 1 commit this weekend….

Already have commitments from 2 RBs in this class….

I wonder if they told him Mekhi Nelson (the RB visiting this weekend) could take his spot if he didn’t commit first. Otherwise, maybe he would have waited until his OV later this month? They already have a commit from Conor Booth, an in-state RB - can’t believe they plan to take more than 2 RBs...

No rush to gain weight. Dude is 22 and has full eligibility. He could be a 27 year old Senior. Crazy

Markese Stepp waived due to undisclosed injury.

Appears to be headed to Michigan.

Until we beat Colorado, I am terrified we will lose (again) to Colorado. We used to live in the heads of our opponents. Has CU taken up residence in ours?

Additional names for consideration: At FB, Bill Olds, Thunder Thornton, Tony Davis (also played RB). At RB, Ameer Abdullah, Keith Jones.

Greg Austin promoted to Jacksonville Jags asst offensive line coach.

Can’t be a Husker fan and not admire Rex Burkhead. He came from the Jeff Kinney-Tough Tony Davis - Cory Ross school: if you need 3, he’ll get you 5.

Heckuva transfer portal weekend!

Arizona Cardinals sign Travis Vokolek from the Ravens’ practice squad.

Oh, I get that college football is a cash business. And has been for a long time. But I don’t have to feel good about it. Hopefully the kids asked to depart have the option to continue their education at DONU with scholarships if they want to stay in Lincoln. i didn’t make the 8th grade...

Personally, I hope they bring Brian Ferentz back.

And that sucks, too. I can’t imagine having had that conversation when I was 19 and trying my hardest. Has to be devastating.

How in the world do we have room for all thee guys? I hate when we withdraw offers this close to signing day. Hopefully those kids find a home during the second signing day in February, but I guess upgrades are upgrades and college is a business.

Does this impact Danny Kaelin’s commitment? And what about his WR teammates? The only bummer about Raiola is that he could have made a huge difference in their recruiting class had he committed earlier. But I’d take him in a heartbeat nonetheless.

Always nice when stupidity doesn’t win.

Don’t you sort of have to find room for a four star offensive lineman who wants to come to Lincoln? In what real life scenario do you say no to him? What am I missing?
