Sunday Morning Thoughts - Post Sparty

It's spelled gnads. The G is silent.
Listen spelling cop (all in fun). I had an apostrophe preceding the nads. That denotes an abbreviation or so Elmer Kral taught me low those many years ago. Man did I despise that man, but he taught me a lot about punctuation, rules, etc. THPTHPTHP

True story. In my home country there was a small mining town called Kingswood. Their high school was the Kingswood Nadorites. To get the crowd fired up the cheerleaders would shout GOOOO NADS!!!!!!

Why thank you enth. My purpose in life, indeed my calling, is to inspirate others.
Sadly, Kingswood is now mostly a ghost town. They mined nadorite for 40 years, only to discover it had no industrial use whatsoever. The few people that remain started a Ralph Club.

In all seriousness, people who don't know the difference between their, there, and they're, your and you're, who use ur for you are, or they don't use punctuation at all--and other ludicrous short hand--these are people who should, at the bare minimum, have their internet privileges revoked.

Because, as an example:

Let's eat Grandma.

And...

Let's eat, Grandma.

Are two sentences that use the exact same words, but that comma completely changes the meaning and intent.

Hub's pet peeve used to be lose and loose. As in "I sure hope we don't loose the game today." Absolutely drove him bonkers when we were posting on HuskerPedia, back in the day.

That's a perfect example, for sure. The first one is pretty creepy, TBH, but I know people who would type it that way and not realize anything was amiss.
