Here's some exciting scheduling news...

Might be a bit tougher to take over South Bend this time - but never put it past Husker fans to take over a venue WHEN THEY THINK THEY HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING THE GAME. GBR!!

Let's hope it doesn't get cancelled.
Notre Dame should be in the B1G.
I expect CFB to change dramatically once the current TV contracts expire in 2030 so any 'scheduling' beyond that date is suspect in my book.

BUT...

My crystal ball says that Notre Dame will be joining the B1G when the new wave of expansion hits as the Big 2 prepare to leave the NCAA and form their own college football league with its own set of ironclad rules (i.e. no legal shenanigans, donor end-runs, and serious enforcement teeth.) The Fighting Irish won't have any choice, other than to choose between the SEC and the B1G. Not joining will mean saying bye-bye to prime time.

20 bucks and a 2 liter of Mtn Dew says Nebraska 100% pusses out and cancels this series.

This is great news, going forward after 2027 and into the 2030’s seasons we have home and away schedules with Arizona, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Oklahoma State. It’s an improvement over those disgraceful schedules over the past few years, with the exception of Colorado. It would sure be nice to schedule at least two Power conference teams in our non conference schedule, and have only one cream puff. It’s good for recruiting, great for paying fans, there isn’t as much shock as we move into tougher non conference play. Maybe that would set us up mentally and physically as we enter late October and November games, also if successful, it takes away doubt as it strengthens playoff chances.

I think this year's and next year's weak schedule is OK, but we need to get back to a competitive game.

I have long thought that the CFB or NCAA, or really the TV people, should schedule 1 game a year for all schools. Top 25 plays top 25, and so on.

I believe we have the most games played against Kansas of all teams we have ever faced. Completely agree with putting the Jayhawks on the schedule. KSU....no

Mizzou? Absolutely - plus you get an SEC team.

Adding more P4 teams from other conferences passes the schedule eyeball test but you have to be careful because you could schedule your coach right into the firing line.

Since I'm seeing a lot of desire to play old BigXII foes...why don't we just go....
