But I will tell you a true story: I once persuaded my Fairbury high school German teacher to allow me to play my cassette recording of the fourth quarter of Lyle Bremser's radio call of the Game of the Century for the entire class.
My Most Memorable Class Ever!
Hub was in 'Nam '70 and '71. His dad sent him reel to reel broadcasts of Lyle announcing the games. Everyone hounded him about the arrival of "the tape" each week. Didn't matter where they hailed from, they all fell in love with Lyle's game calling.
