Back to another long off season

These additions help our program IMHO. Instead of being the conference outlier, Nebraska is now at the center of the B1G.

The kind of physical team Rhule is building is tailor-made to compete well against our old non-conference rivals.
Physical football works. Both Riley and Frost found that out the hard way. Or maybe it just didn't register with them.

It never registered for Riley. He coached Nebraska like we were in the Pac 12. Frost TALKED a good game (Oregon Speed with Husker Power.) But it seemed to me that it took few years of recruiting his small, UCF-like speedsters before he got serious about recruiting Big Ten-caliber linemen. By the time he did, it was too late to save him.

Matt Rhule Draws Tom Brady Analogy to Highlight Dylan Raiola's Impact as the 5-Star QB Follows Father's Footsteps at Nebraska (msn.com)

Rhule then confidently added, "You know he sends a message to everybody else in recruiting that 'hey, this is a good place.'" It looks like the head coach is seeing him as a catalyst who "attracts players from across the country that want to come play with him." But talent and connections are just part of the equation. Rhule then went on to stress Raiola's work ethic. That's when he drew parallels to the NFL legend, stating, "Always hear Tom Brady and these guys talk about when your best players work the hardest, you have a great team. Well, Dylan is those guys who tries to work the hardest." It seems like Raiola's quickly becoming a star with the Cornhuskers!

I think Sims and Haarberg were solely responsible for 11 turnovers apiece? Could be wrong, but I think it was 6 INT 5 FUM for Jeff and 7 INT 4 FUM for Haarberg. Raiola needs to finish with less than 22 turnovers. Low, low bar indeed.
