Anybody Watching CU vs. TCU?

He won't be there in 4 years. If he fails, he gets fired. If he's successful he's going to the SEC.

He won’t need 4 years. In fact he’s going to get it going in year one. You don’t need 4 or 5 years anymore to build a big time winning program, but, by all means, let’s do it that way anyway.

For what little its probably worth, I think all the acolades and big-time hype we'll see this week over Colorado's huge win (rightly earned BTW) will work to our psychological advantage.
Agree Doc... and I think they beat a team living off of last years accomplishments. TCU is a shell of its former self this season.

Call me crazy but I think if Coach Rhule had a son who was a HS All American follow him to Lincoln this year our fortunes would have been different Thursday night.

How long does the sizzle last... The meat builds the muscle.

There are only so many roster spots...
There is only so much room for ego...

So TCU sucks and Colorado is a mirage.

I guess then a win next week means very little.

But he doesn’t. He also has a number 1 recruit on defense. He’s going to bring in players, every year, and from what I saw they’re pretty well coached to. The circumstances don’t matter. He’s going to build CU and he’s going to do it fast.

I saw one pundit say CU had the worst roster in all of football this year. Hahahahahaha

What happens at Colorado under Deion Sanders will be interesting to watch. There is going to be so much hype that comes from everyone this week about how great he is and how everyone is going to do rebuilds this way. Does one week make it the new normal? I don't know. Sanders is the perfect coach for that hype because he builds and thrives on it.
We do know that next season, he won't be able to cut 50 scholarship players and bring 50 more in. New coaches can only do that in the first year - unless the rules are different than what I've read. They have 77 or so scholarship players - 12 seniors, 26 juniors, 20 sophomores and the rest are freshman. Looks like there is a decent distribution. Does he go all transfer portal or can he keep getting highly rated recruits?
To me if he wins immediately this year and next, he leaves pretty quickly. I don't think Colorado will have the money Sanders will want for a long career there. Then again, they are going to a Big 12 that won't have Texas or Oklahoma so who knows.
I hope he fails because its Colorado. But it will be interesting to watch the ramifications of what happens this year.

Looking at the stats, TCU rushed for 262 yards today. The Big 12 is not known for rushing offenses. If TCU can rush for 262, I think we can do that plus better, plus the intangibles of Sims ability to run. Today, it looked like a typical two Big 12 teams playing. I may be wrong, but I think our D is more stout than what TCU and Colorado showed against each other. I’ll take my B1G physical style of play over Big 12 up and down the field. We have had two extra days of rest, Colorado played in intense heat today. We should be ready.

just checked the betting line-
unchanged
we are a 7 point favorite.
I suspect that will change in the next 24 hours.

I watched a good chunk of the game - CU is not that good in the trenches - but man they have some skill guys that can fly and a darn good QB - he dropped multiple dimes on long passes. If you get heat on him that can be disrupted - but we know our D struggled a bit on the pass rush. We'll keep them one dimensional by taking away the run game but Jeepers they threw for 500+ on TCU - so pick your poison (good chunk on simple screen passes).

CU will score some points - the question is can Nebraska's offense. CU can be run on - so we need to do that and keep the ball away from CU as much as we can (play small ball). TCU's special teams outplayed CU as well.

That Hunter kid is a FREAK - played both ways at corner and WR and dominated both - dude is NFL ready right now. Hunter was the #1 recruit that went to JSU and Saban had an absolute melt down about NIL money over - he knew the kid was a stud.

They have a good passing QB Sanders and receivers that catch the ball when thrown in their general area. Remember the Big 12 does not play defense

CU will be drunk and high on weed all week celebrating that huge win. I hope any way

We see another 3 pick performance from Sims, he will have splinters in his butt.
says who? If Rhule starts Sims then his words mean nothing and will already be nothing more than empty threats.
Huskers out to open up with HH and run the ball controlling the clock this week. Force Sims to win his job back during practice.
