I like what Moos is saying. I agree with him on a lot of things. He is doing his best to appease and repair the fractured fan base.

I don't know if Frost is coming. If Moos knows, he's playing it really close to the vest. REALLY CLOSE.

The comment that "Nebraska has to get to being Nebraska," gives me hope. I hope it means style of play as well. It hasn't felt like our program for so, so long.

Twice he mentioned little things that make a difference.

1. The way uniforms are worn was brought up twice.
2. Clean locker rooms and clean charter flights.

Team discipline issues. Team morale issues.

He continued to say he was going to respect Scott Frost as far as he was coaching another team. He NEVER answered a question straight forward regarding if he had talked to him or not. All makes me believe he is going to be our next coach. He never address talking to any other coach specifically.

Funny thing happened yesterday before the game started. I was in the press area, where we just saw Moos talk, and they have a food spread for the media people and workers. I think Valentino's catering wing provides the food. They had salad, lasagna and those wonderful brownies with the powered sugar on top.

After everyone had gone through the line and the room had kind of emptied out, I went back down to get some lemonade. As I walked in, Ross Jernstrom from WOWT had a plate and was loading it up with about 6 or 7 brownies. I thought, "Dude!" I hope he was taking them for friends and not just himself.

I stood there a second while he walked away, then grabbed a plate and put three on it and headed back to work. LOL!

Watching Mike Riley in this press conference is sad, but man he handles it with such class. I REALLY wish this would've worked out, because he is the type of man you want your son to play for.

Significant difference in style of departure from previous coaches.

When Moos was talking about Frost his face lit up. Said he was sensitive to the fact that Frost has a game this weekend. Yeah, Frost is the pick. Also Sean Callahan brought up an interesting point. Trent Bay is the only coach not fired. Callahan said you don't do that unless you know you have someone already lined up to come in shortly thereafter to help save the recruiting class, etc.

First of all did Green & Bounds hire the right guy or what !!!!! Yeah Buddy....what's really cool about the Moos is......He is just like that in person....an honest down to earth guy who knows Football....

Now that you all know yes I have met with Bill Moos in person when we were back in Nebraska for the Northwestern game.....I was just one of several ex- players and others from Nebraska Sports across the board.....who were just One such group of several.
Bill Moos will go down as the guy who fought his guys out to get Nebraska back to being NEBRASKA.....In our group, all of us that were former players were Blackshirts.....and we all voiced our strong voices about how the tradition of the Blackshirts had become little more than a footnote in Nebraska Football history.
Bill that day vowed and gave us his hand that under his watch that would NEVER BE THE CASE !....
HE also vowed to hire the perfect guy to run the only type offense that really even today is still un- stoppable.....one where you have a pure dual threat quarter back that can run a speed option type game and then you must have truly outstanding Defense.....plus the UN used points in the special teams, they have got to be truly special.....not just so so or a place to put your 3rd string guys to keep them happy.

It was so freaking hard keeping my mouth shut as you all worried and got upset.....and just in case you think I might be pulling your collective legs....ask Charlie about it.....I had to tell someone and to his credit he kept quiet for me and for that I will always respect him.

Everybody needs to know.....The Moos will get the right guy do the job ahead.....I can't say any names but they are all good choices.....and some will even shock you.....but he has no less than 3 out of 6 that I know of who would be excellent choices.....one is a no brainier.....#2&3 are absolutely home run second choices.....oh and just so you know.....all of them are a dual threat speed option based coaches.....who believe in Offense puts butts in seats......Defense wins Championships !

Hey anytime the Athletic Director will start talking Defense with my friends and I.....then beg me to book him a hunt or fish trip.....he can't be all bad......
Hey maybe I will donate a trip for a guided hunt or fishing trip and get Coach Osborne (who I have fished with several times at different places) and a half dozen or so current and ex players from different years and after all this is done and finished we all go and then post up photos and so forth on the forum here.....Kate says it's a Fantastic Idea to re connect with past, present and future and then share it all with you guys......I will get with Charlie and see what we can get done.....maybe give out one free spot to go with us all to a forum member or something ?.....

I thought he did also SUHnami. And as hard as he is trying I think Doc may be tipping his hat just a bit too....LOL.
There are very few coaches who would make me stand up and say "yes thats the guy". Scott Frost would not have done that for me 3 years ago, but today I think he is ready to go. Dabo Sweeny would get me excited also. Guess we will see next Sunday.
