ANOTHER FRUSTRATING NIGHT. Same damn song with the same chorus. Gone are all the explosive plays we had earlier in the season. We had one big pass play but that wasn’t enough. We just can’t stay consistent on offense when it’s a defensive “grind-it-out” game typical of the B1G. The penalties...

Doc Fumble responds with tongue firmly in cheek: Concrete PROOF is important, saturdaysarebetter!!! This could be a desperate ploy to generate some sympathy, you know. Matt Rhule wants us to believe he's a good-hearted family man. We all know now that he's a piss-poor coach but while we're...

Agree. Anyone with a daughter or granddaughter can answer that one without a second thought.

Who in the league---outside of Nebraska fans---could have envisioned at this point in the season that Coach Reid would have to reassure fans during his weekly presser that: YES, BOTH the Chiefs' superstar RB, Kenneth Walker and rookie, Emmett Johnson will be playing Sunday.

I'm no NorthwoodHusker. I'm as disappointed and frustrated as anyone here. The only difference is I'm not going to go online and rant about firing the head coach after losing three close games that --- Heeeeellloooo, EVERYBODY here said before the season we were likely to lose. The same fans...

College QBs ARE a huge part of the offense. Undeserved reps? He's No. 3 of our top RBs and the best blocker. Along with Nelson, he's also strong as a third down receiving back.

If I was the head coach and I learned some A-hole yelled "FU" at MY daughter back when she was 13, you can be damned sure I'd be bringing it up during my Monday presser too--and without any of the composure Rhule showed. If that's your idea of a character flaw, mine is far worse than Rhule's...

I know Lateef has been your guy, MadRat. But whatever TJ's future potential is, it's an absolute, lead-pipe certainty that he'll be playing for someone else next season.

Based on their behavior. His character? Hmmm...guess I'm getting too old. I don't remember that. What has he done, character-wise, to warrant the insinuation he's lying about his 13-year old daughter to the public--including to his wife and young daughters who will no doubt hear all this fuss...

I enjoy getting into passionate debates over all things Husker football. There's a lot for all of us to get angry and frustrated about looking at the last three games. But there's a Grand Canyon-wide difference between bashing Matt Rhule's coaching and questioning the man's character. In my...

But, what? Imply he's desperate? Imply he panicked and lied...by making up a story about his 13 year old daughter? Rhule's got a 70 million dollar golden parachute, he and his family are covered if you all want to give it to him early and start over again. Unfortunately, our first choice...

This 'theory' requires one to believe that the Matt Rhule we've gotten to know over the past four years would: 1) make up a story; 2) using his 13 year old daughter; in order to 3) to gain some sympathy with our fanbase??!? I'm through talking about this.

I read your entire post and came away thinking that is exactly what you were implying. I'm disappointed you 'went there,' but everybody is entitled to their opinion. Peace.

Of course, he didn't want to talk about it anymore. It sure as hell needed to be said but it's an ugly look at one of our 'fans.' What??!? What 'further inquiries' are necessary in this case? Am I to believe you're questioning it happened???

If I misinterpreted your post, I apologize. What I heard you say was: "it should not have been said to his kid but..." The rest felt like you excused what happened as 'going with the territory of being a head football coach' so Rhule needs to 'put on your big boy pants' and 'suck it up.' I...

Ouch.

I know, HV. By copying your quote, I'm sorry if my response made it appear critical vs. observational. :ashamed0001:

A few observations: 1) Granted, it wasn't Ant's best day. But keep in mind that the QB gets tagged with the interception tally but not all interceptions are bad throws. 2) Colandrea has time to throw--the OL did their job. But our Big 3 WRs weren't getting free or AC missed seeing them. 3)...

FWIW, Washington started loading up the box to stop us so we countered with some big pass plays. The problem was the Huskies' secondary rose to the occasion as well as our some of our best WRs got an unfortunate case of the dropsies.

I seriously doubt it. They might become a band again if White ever gets offered a HC job. What really did surprise me is that White got fired instead of playing out the season. It was understandable with Chinander because he and Frost were tied at the hip---but why get rid of White NOW? I...
