The Huskers, who wore black uniforms against USC on Nov. 1, 2025, are bringing back the tradition in 2026. This year, it will take place on Oct. 31, when the Big Red will welcome the Washington Huskies to Memorial Stadium.

I was okay with them --- until I saw the red script 'Huskers' on the sides of the helmet instead of our Red N.

I was not aware they were swapping the N for a script that says Huskers. My gut reaction is to agree with you, but I'll have to see it before making any judgment.
I like them, but even if I didn't, it is about the kids. When Oregon went all 2000 types of uniforms, the rest of the schools felt like they needed to do something. But I do enjoy the rage.
The "avoid the noid" unis for the ?2012? home game vs Wisconsin come to mind.
Although...that is one of the very few times we've worn alternate unis and actually won the game, so really, how bad were they????
The only interesting fact about the Cornhuskers and new jerseys is that Nebraska has never lost a football game in the Garden State (a/k/a New Jersey) . . .
