We wont have Jimmy to kick around

How solid is this info? Hairball has the program at an elite level. The winged helmet is an easy recruiting draw. They have their system and are getting the players in it. His goofy style can work with college kids, but not so much in the pros. I heard that when he was with the Niners, there wasn’t a lot of love flowing back and forth. Maybe if he leaves, we could poach Hausmann back to Lincoln, seems only fair.

Looking back on Harbaugh's Michigan tenure, he got off to a rough start. I remeber back when the national pundits were weighing in on who would win a championship first, Frost or Harbaugh?

But it was Jim who turned it around --- and guess where he started?

Yep, the offensive line. :thumbsup:

I never liked Harbaugh (he seems like a real goofball) but one thing about him I find encouraging is that Matt Rhule is on record as saying Jim Harbaugh's Michigan program is similar to his blueprint for Nebraska.

We have a different opinion on where he turned it around. I am in the camp that he turned it around in opposition stadiums weeks before they played

Ditto.....

People here balked when I suggested Brian Kelly at NU way back before Notre Dame nabbed him. When he went to LSU I was like WTF is that? But even at LSU he's made those losers competitive.

We were competitive under Frost. Remember all those one score losses? We didn't need a coach who sets the bar at competitive. We needed a coach who has a track record of building programs and player development. We have that now. We're getting ready to launch into year two, we've acquired some fantastic talent not only in the recruiting class but through the portal as well.

Buy in and drink the koolaid, we're on our way back to the top. *

* Fairly certain, anyway.

There was a popular restaurant and bar in Albuquerque called Nick and Jimmy's. Check that...I guess it wasn't that popular. It closed permanently about a year ago. Anyhow, if you know what I'm saying is true go ahead and smash that "Like" button below (Querque Quirky). If you want to see more of my content hit the "Subscribe" button. Time for Hunchback's Chronicles.

Nick and Jimmy's was crazy busy every time we went, but Nick was 90 years old when they closed. Nick retired in early 2022 and they did another year at Nick and Jimmy's without him. The other restaurants he was involved with are still open - most being run by his daughter and one by a longtime manager. *Probably more than you wanted to know, but there you have it!*

MAY BE Washington will give him Frost a second bite of the apple?

I've never liked Harbaugh because, as a "Michigan Man" and former QB, he embodies the arrogance that makes me hate that program (I grew up 35 miles away).

When Michigan escaped Memorial Stadium in that night game a few years ago with a very narrow victory, he made comments along the lines of saying we're not losing to this outfit. Never in doubt. He and Bielema never give Nebraska a shred of credit in their post-game media comments. By contrast, Rhule usually says something like "that's a good team we played today, give them some credit..."

Grudgingly, I will admit he did a good job building the program to the point that they exceeded "Ohio" for three straight years after total domination at the top by the Buckeyes. I do like his offense a lot.

Here's to Goodbye and Good Riddance.

Harbaugh wasn't about to take any actual punishment from the NCAA - his giant ego won't allow it. Not surprised at all he ends up with San Diego - Herbert is a good if not great QB - somebody he can build around.
