2023 Volleyball Thread

Had me worried with the start they got off to
I'd give Cook the game ball for that game. His sharp eye caught several bad close calls. Definitely won them set 2 and most likely the game. He also made some great adjustments between sets 2 and 3 that shut down UI.

The Big 10 is going to be really tough this year. The talent levels on several teams is impressive.

Wow. Halfway through the match, I thought Wisconsin was clearly the better team.
I've been real annoyed at times, even though I know about all the freshmen on the roster, but watching them drop some head-scratching sets to lesser teams, an infuriating amount of service errors, and so on, I thought might all lead to a real harsh lesson against the far more senior Wisconsin team, but nope, they just. . .went out and won the match. A team that has owned Nebraska for 10 straight matches, and they figuratively spiked the volleyball right in their stupid faces. Figuratively, again

I confess I have a hard time watching volleyball. It's hard for me to not get too anxious sitting still while such intense action is happening. Still, last night was a special game for the volleyball team, and winning was special.

On a side note, Kaelin and Nelson evidently wanted to see a number one team in action and were in attendance. Hopefully got a nice taste of Husker enthusiasm..
