Mo Washington

I concur. I trust Coach Frost and the rest of these coaches. If they want to give Maurice Washington another shot, I don't see why not. I will simply chalk up Washington's past as a by-product of being young and immature. As Cigarman said, he's paid a fairly steep price. No one should be punished in perpetuity. If he's atoned, then let bygones be bygones.

The only thing I'd disagree with is that there ARE people that should suffer in perpetuity.

What you wish for others, often happens to you. So if I were you, I'd be a bit more circumspect about wishing ill...just saying.

I have not heard anything that I could swear is gospel .....yet but I do know if ever there was a good shot for his return.....this is the absolute perfect scenario for it. I am still waiting to hear right from the top what's the deal yet, but if it's going to happen.....it will in the next couple of weeks..... October 24th will be here before you know it so ......take that for what it's worth.

No news is great news

In this case...that could not be more true....Val I have no idea yet what if anything's being done for this young man....but I do know this....if indeed he does return I fully expect to see a laser focused bigger faster player who is absolutely filled with gratitude for his Coaches and teammates plus a huge desire to prove the rest of the country wrong and show why it was a great thing to do for this young man...
In a perfect case scenario he would show his appreciation by becoming a top contender for the hypesman....even though this might be bad for him with all the media scrutiny he would be under so just have him be that un-stopable force that I KNOW HE CAN BECOME....THAT WOULD BE SO FREAKING COOL AND THE ULTIMATE "IN YER FACE BIG 10" if he led us to the rushing title for the conference and won several awards....this would make a great story with a perfect ending....but being a realistic person....let's just wait and see what if anything happens....at this point it's all just smoke on the water my friend.

Love to see it but for now, I'd settle for him adding another dimension to our running back room which would allow Robinson to play his more natural position (whatever the hell, that "Duck" wingback-ish role is in this offense.) Adrian needs a reliable 'go-to' man on third down passing plays.

True that !
Post Script: I am hearing from several people on the staff that Omar Manning is way better than we were led to believe...now We ALL know how alot of times the "jucos" who come in with a lot of fanfare....just never seem to recapture the success they had in that world once they are matched up against more equal talent....granted there are the rare exceptions to that rule of thumb like we have seen at Nebraska over the years....I played with a couple of Perdy good ones.....but in this case it seems from what I am told by guys who know.....he is WAY better than we even hoped he would be. He is going to make a big impact this screwed up season if he can stay healthy...his blocking is phenomenal I am told and he is a real team first guy but he also is a big body who can run and make the tough catches in traffic...and has the speed we need on the outside or over the middle so if what I have been told is true....we just might have a diamond amongst a field of stones.

Watched his highlights, and love the fact that first one is a freakin PANCAKE

FYI—MW is still listed as an active student in the UNL student directory— be interesting to see where he is on the first day of practice

GBR

Just checking to see if there has been any news on this front.

Is MW enrolled? Is he still attempting to get back on the team? Has a final decision been made? Any decision made?

Or is this whole possibility gone by the wayside?

I hope Mo can work things out. He was fun to watch. Sounds like nobody is willing touch him in the portal. And at this point NU is all he has got for options.....

Yeah I didnt really expect him back this season just was wondering if there was any update. Imagine if next year we have the same injury problems. Would be nice to have his talent back on the team
