SDSU is not even testing players - I suspect that game is not going to happen due to the risk

Not that I don't believe you but I'd like to see more info on this. I could not find a link from a quick search. Do you have a link. I want to see the thought process on this...

"We have not been testing for coronavirus," said South Dakota State AD Justin Sell. "That hasn't been part of our deal. If testing is needing to be part of that ability to play, we've got to work within our state … and figure out the financial impacts of that."

The Jackrabbits play at Nebraska in Week 3.

I thought about starting a thread on reasons some programs might not go to great lengths to protect their players early on in the preparation process, but thought it might be too cynical. After reading the above maybe not.

Is it possible some programs will be lax with the hope their players will actually get the virus, and then become immune later on during the season? As incredulous as it sounds, the thought has crossed my mind.

Problem with that logic is that data is now showing that immunity lasts for several weeks, at best. Meanwhile, they are potentially exposing EVERYONE those student players come into contat with to COVID-19. Extremely irresponsible, IMO.

I’ve not seen data that supports that claim. Most agree it’s a WAG at this point and a lot more testing is needed.

I've seen numerous links the last week or so on that issue. All have said that it's very limited immunity for a short period of time (weeks).

Or is it possible that some small program may try to cash the check without the game, the contracts do not mention a pandemic

Anything is possible in this environment imo. It's already a mess, and it's going to get worse. Unless things improve on the virus front, all this, might be moot.

We are closer to 5-7 than we are to 7-5.
I think you are right. Scott has a long row to hoe. I hope we get to 7-5, but who really knows. I am in show me mode with most of my thoughts on the Huskers. I have bought the hype for too long. He hasn't gotten any breaks that is for sure. I think he can get it done, it just will take a while.

Maybe that's the Conference Nebraska should have joined, because we haven't blossomed too well so far in this one.
